I finally found a good use for my self-rendered tallow; deep frying some hushpuppies!

My friend Keith died the other day. I’m seeing lime green things in random places nearly everywhere I look. It was his favorite color. Someone said this is his way of saying hello to those he knew in life.

Peanut’s had it rough lately; dealing with his diabetes, losing his sister Abbey last year, and skin cancer surgery. He’s plugging right along and deserves his pillow time.

Update: This batch didn’t turn out well because I ran into some issues while clarifying during secondary.
